Goofy Faces celebrated its latest retail location at the Los Angeles Zoo this past weekend just in time for Valentine's Day. Over 200 applicants applied for artist positions with our company. Only the best ones made the cut. This video features a few of the artists in action during our grand opening celebration. If you live in the LA area, be sure to drop by and see them at work on weekends in February and open daily starting in March.
Check out our talented caricature artists, Michelle and Courtney at the Philadelphia Zoo this season. They'll be drawing caricatures near the Trading Post every day until the end of August. They will also be available on weekends after Labor Day.
Everyone enjoys visiting our retail stand at the Cincinnati Zoo, including some of the wildlife. Louis the peacock likes to hang out on our roof. Also pictured here is manager David drawing caricatures and painting faces.
Recently, we decided to relocate our retail stand at the Louisville Zoo to a nice spot with shade near the elephant exhibit. Here, manager Kelly is working on a family caricature on a warm summer day. If you plan to visit the Louisville Zoo this season, find us toward the back of the zoo near the elephants and buy a one-of-kind caricature or face painting!
It's officially Summertime at Goofy Faces! You can find us open for business daily at many of our retail locations throughout America. Stop by one of our 2 stands located at the Cincinnati Zoo and the Toledo Zoo for a caricature of yourself or Fantasy Face Painting. Or visit our single locations for caricatures or face painting at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Louisville Zoo or Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa. Need a break from the sun? Then why not get your caricature from our single location inside the Florida Aquarium in Tampa. We also have caricature artists drawing outside the Trading Post at the Philadelphia Zoo. And for something historical, why not drop by Greenfield Village at The Henry Ford in Dearborn Michigan on special occasion weekends!
It's that time of year when we gear up our retail operations for our zoo locations
throughout the midwest. This week I was in Cleveland training our new artists at
the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. All 5 new artists did a great job learning about
retail caricatures in only 4 days. On Thursday, we gave them a chance to draw
the public for free so we could see them in action. Although the weather was a
bit chilly for drawing, they had a continuous crowd for over 2 hours. Zoo guests
were very pleased with their work. Some of the guests were from Belgium. They
were stranded in Cleveland due to the volcanic ash and smoke from Iceland. The
zoo allowed them to visit for free and we drew several of them for free as well.
It was fun showing them a good time while they enjoyed an extra few days
in the U.S
Starting with over 70 applicants, these final 7 super artists made the final cut after an intense week of caricature training at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. They are our new crew in Cleveland and will be delighting guests at the zoo all season long!
Our brand new kiosk has finally arrived at the Louisville Zoo! Seen here is retail manager, Kelly, jumping for joy over the new stand where she and the other artists will be spending the summer at the front of the zoo! Goofy Faces will be offering caricatures and face & body art all season long.
As Spring steadily approaches, Goofy Faces is gearing up for yet another season of caricatures and face painting at our retail stands located at the Louisville Zoo and the Toledo Zoo. This is where some of our newest artists show off their talent at drawing caricatures and painting faces for zoo guests all summer long. Prices range from as little as $5.00 for a face painting to $20.00 for a color face and body caricature. It's an inexpensive way to add some smiles on your next visit to one of these great zoos. We hope to announce another zoo location coming soon!
