On September 30th, 2011, Oak Pointe Church held its annual Rockfest for kids and families while Goofy Faces was hired to draw the crowd. Robert & Bil kept busy drawing kids for 2 hours. Afterwhich, everyone made their way into the auditorium for live music.
Goofy Faces was recently hired to draw full color caricatures at the Stars & Stripes Gymnastic Banquet held at the Fountains Golf & Banquet Center in Clarkston, MI. In order to get all 36 gymnasts finished in under 4 hours, a template was created for the first time that included color. Each body was preprinted with the color already there so only the faces needed to be drawn live and colored. It was a great success and now is another option for customers everywhere!
Small parties offer a great opportunity to have your artist draw everyone in color. This party, which took place at the Troy Historical Museum, needed 12 kids and adults drawn and colored in two hours which is exactly how long it took to finish them all.
Goofy Faces celebrated its latest retail location at the Los Angeles Zoo this past weekend just in time for Valentine's Day. Over 200 applicants applied for artist positions with our company. Only the best ones made the cut. This video features a few of the artists in action during our grand opening celebration. If you live in the LA area, be sure to drop by and see them at work on weekends in February and open daily starting in March.
Once again, Goofy Faces was on-hand at Belle Tire's Annual Holiday Party at Burton Manor. 14 artists drew for 3.5 hours while guests enjoyed seeing Santa, playing games and watching the artists draw. Happy Holidays!
Once again, Goofy Faces was drawing caricatures at the Art & Apples Festival in Rochester, MI. This year, guest-caricature artist, Glenn Ferguson was in town from Orlando, FL to help Robert draw and entertain guests of the festival. Glenn draws caricatures at Universal Studios, Orlando full-time so people got a chance to see some awesome work right here in Michigan. The 3-day affair was a lot of fun, minus the rain on Saturday.
Oakland County Parks & Recreation held its first ever kite-flying event called Kites Over Catalpa last weekend at Catalpa Oaks County Park in Southfield, MI. Kids and families had the opportunity to watch free kite-flying demos as well as make their own kites. Goofy Faces was there drawing attendees as well. Guests enjoyed having a caricature of their kids or themselves flying a kite!
Saturday morning, I had the pleasure of drawing caricatures at a breakfast birthday for Nora, age 3, pictured on the bottom right. Her family enjoyed their color caricatures and I had a great time hanging out with them for breakfast at Big Boy's way up north of Mt. Pleasant. Happy Birthday, Nora!
Last Thursday, Berkshire Middle School held their first PastaPalooza fundraiser and Goofy Faces was there to help add some fun and raise money for the school. 3 Goofy Faces Artists were on hand for 2 hours to draw students and parents in exchange for donations. Instead of our normal hourly fee, each artist accepted tips and split them with the school for the fundraiser. Goofy Faces raised over $100 in 2 hours and entertained everyone in attendance. If you have an organization that wants to add some fun and raise money, contact us during our off season and we may be able to help you out as well!
Recently, Goofy Faces was on hand to draw at both a Bar Mitzvah and a Bat Mitzvah all in one weekend. The difference between the two is that a Bar Mitzvah is for a boy while a Bat Mitzvah is celebrated for a girl. Either way, having caricatures is always a huge hit at any Mitzvah you're planning. Goofy Faces had one artist at the Bar Mitzvah and 2 artists for the Bat Mitzvah.
