Every year, the Robertsons hold a huge party for family and friends at there spacious home located in Clarkston, MI. What started out at first as an outdoor wedding reception has turned into an annual bash called Knobstock, named for it's location close to the amphitheater formerly known as the Pine Knob Music Theater and the Woodstock atmosphere of people coming from all over to enjoy the outdoor festivities. This year, they added Goofy Faces to the mix and guests enjoyed having their faces drawn for 3 hours.
Oakland County Parks hired Goofy Faces to draw & entertain campers staying at 2 different parks this summer. This past weekend, Robert was drawing at Groveland Oaks County Park in Holly, MI. To help optimize the amount of guests that could be drawn in 2 hours, Goofy Faces created 2 templates for campers to pick from for their caricatures; swimming or roasting marshmallows. All the campers enjoyed their caricatures and more could be accommodated than usual due to the use of the templates. Think about this idea for your next themed function or event!
Guests of the Western Golf & Country Club in Redford, MI enjoyed free caricatures during Easter Brunch. Robert spent 3 hours drawing and entertaining kids and adults in their Sunday best.
Goofy Faces was hired by Setting the Scene to draw caricatures for the staff at Residential Home Health at the Birmingham Country Club in Birmingham, MI. It was a huge hit and the line stretched across the room all night long!
Here are some more happy couples and friends who attended the Whimsical Occasions Bridal Show at the Royal Oak Music Theater in Royal Oak, MI today. Here is a shot of me posing with my newly acquired caricature painting created by Jason Seiler. Jason is an outstanding artist and his caricatures are incredible. He does illustrations for many major publications like The New York Times, The Weekly Standard, Business Week, MAD Magazine and TIME. I was fortunate enough to be the highest bidder at our awards banquet for the National Caricaturist Network annual convention. Jason photographed me at the banquet and asked me to make a "Goofy Face". This was the result.
