
It's that time of year when we gear up our retail operations for our zoo locations throughout the midwest. This week I was in Cleveland training our new artists at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. All 5 new artists did a great job learning about retail caricatures in only 4 days. On Thursday, we gave them a chance to draw the public for free so we could see them in action. Although the weather was a bit chilly for drawing, they had a continuous crowd for over 2 hours. Zoo guests were very pleased with their work. Some of the guests were from Belgium. They were stranded in Cleveland due to the volcanic ash and smoke from Iceland. The zoo allowed them to visit for free and we drew several of them for free as well. It was fun showing them a good time while they enjoyed an extra few days in the U.S
